General I am quite familiar with many 3rd party hardware solutions and hardware diagnostic techniques, SCSI, RAID, etc. I am quite proficient in support roles, installation, backup, troubleshooting, and implementing disaster planning and recovery. I also am very comfortable in scientific, digitial post production, as well as large production environments. I am very capable troubleshooter and diagnostic technician whether hardware or software related. I am also well familiar with the numerous services and software required by ISPs, and web development companies. Particularly under most Unix flavours. Even though it has been many years since I've been in the Physics world proper, in general I can come up to speed on just about any project quicker than most.. Notes and other information I have a very diverse background of skills and talents spanning a wide gamut of disciplines too numerous to list here. I learn quickly and can bring a diverse range of knowledge, experience, and skills to any particular problem. I work best when teamed in leadership roles which involve work with skilled individuals who are honest, forthright, who are open to new ideas and willing to learn new techniques or principles, as well as work in a 'team' environment. I am not afraid to ask questions, nor to tell it like it is if my advice is requested. I like diverse sets of challenges that allow me to learn new things, and to interact with specialists from all disciplines. Deadlines are just another part of the challenge. |
